Rubber Stamps and Lino Prints

After a long time, I’m back!

And I have a new hobby – again 😀 Linocut and print. It is so much fun, and much easier than I thought.

I bought some material which is used to make rubber stamps; it is softer and a bit easier to cut than linoleum. Then I drew something with a pencil on a sheet of paper – I started with Totoro, because I like Studio Ghibli a lot ^^ After making the sketch, it is so simple to transfer it to the rubber. You just have to flip the paper onto the rubber and rub it with your finger or a tool (I used the back part of my scissors) over the paper, and the graphite transfers onto the rubber. Pretty easy 🙂 And then comes the fun part – carving the stamp.
